Scottie Upshall


Scottie Upshall is a Canadian hockey player, currently a winger for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League. He first played for the Nashville Predators in the NHL, in 2002. He signed up for his current team for $14 million, in 2011. 

Upshall represented Canada in international competitions, in 2000 World Hockey Challenge, in 2001 World Junior Hockey U18 Championships,in 2002 and 2003 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, as well as 2009 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships.

Career Highlights: 
  • played in 3 leagues during his career: American Hockey League, Western Hockey League and National Hockey League 
  • selected 6th in the first round of the 2002 NHL Draft 
  • joined Philadelphia Flyers in 2006-07 season and the Phoenix Coyotes in 2008-09 
  • career goals (as of 2012): 88 in regular, 4 in playoffs

Alexandre Despatie



Alexandre Despatie is a Canadian diver, specializing in springboard and synchronized diving events. He is the only diver to become world champion in 3 springboard categories.

Despatie partners with Arturo Miranda and Reuben Ross for the synchronized events.

Achievements/Career Highlights:
  • World Champion at 1 and 3-meter springboard from 2005 to 2007
  • scored perfect 10's at the 1998 Commonwealth Games 10-meter springboard event, winning the event at age 13
  • the only diver to become world champion in 3 springboard categories (1, 3 and 10-meter)
  • won silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics for the 3-meter springboard event
  • won silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympics for the 3-meter springboard event
  • won 3 golds at the 2010 Commonwealth Games
