Currently a free agent, he previously played for Arsenal (1998-2007), West Ham (2007-08), Seattle Sounders FC (2008-09), Chicago Fire (2010), Celtic (2011) and Shimizu S-Pulse (2011-12). He plays as right winger.
Off-court Ljungberg also modeled for Calvin Klein underwear, and represented brands such as Nike, Pepsi and L'Oreal.
