Flashback: Great Britain Olympic Water Polo Team


Great Britain's men's water polo team reached the group stage in the London Olympics. It was Britain's first water polo team to compete in the Olympics since Melbourne 1956.

Tony Azevedo



Antony Azevedo is the captain of the United States water polo team. He is considered one of the best all-around water polo players in the world. He also played in various professional leagues.


Azevedo was born in Brazil but his family migrated to the United States when he was a baby. He graduated in Stanford University.

Vanja Udovicic



Vanja Udovičić is a Serbian professional water polo player. As part of the Serbian national water polo team, he won 2 Olympic medals and several gold medals in World and European  championships.


He currently plays professionally for Mladost Zagreb. Previously he was affiliated with Partizan Belgrade, Jadran Herceg, Pro Recco, among others.

Team Focus: USC Trojans Water Polo


USC Trojans Water Polo Team is the collegiate water polo team of the University of Soutern California. The team consistently finishes the season among the top teams in the United States, winning 14 conference championships in the NCAA. 

The Trojans were the first men's water polo team to win four consecutive championships. The latest victory came in 2011 when the Trojans defeated UCLA 7-4 in the finals. 



Notable Achievements: 
  • Recent NCAA Championships: 1998, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 
  • Win-Loss record: 984-492-7 (.666) 
  •  Perfect 29-0 season for the 2008 team
